What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese therapy administered through the insertion of fine, single-use sterile needles to specific acupressure points- most patients report minimal discomfort. The needles stimulate the flow of Chi through the body's meridians to restore the flow of Chi through the body's meridians, increasing energy flow to internal organs, supporting the body's natural wellbeing.

Your Acupuncture Session
At your first acupuncture session in our Blaby clinic, we will discuss treatment plans that are tailored to you following a comprehensive TCM assessment.
During treatment:
• You remain either lying or comfortably seated.
• Fine needles are placed at selected acupuncture points and retained for a short period.
• You may feel a mild, brief sensation as the needle is inserted, followed by a feeling of warmth, heaviness or relaxation.
Most people find sessions relaxing and leave feeling calmer or more at ease. We will regularly review your progress with you and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
Note: Acupuncture may offer complementary support for these conditions. It is not a substitute for conventional medical treatment. Please consult your GP for diagnosis and primary care. Individual results may vary.
